Interferences through Art in Cyberspace

Up until now the cyberspace ist he place where an exhibition by both Franz Landsperskys take place.

A unique constellation of namesakes through transhistorics and a fundamental transfiguration in the relocation from Bohemia to America through an algorithm.

In connecting hybrid work as conceptual artist with the vital painting work of Franz Landspersky in NY and the archived work of Franz Landspersky in Budweis the idea of Vilem Flussers „Techno-Bilder“ will be reinformed through the notion of artworks as „MANUALS“.

By bringing together two familiar artistic expressions through the digitized perspective of non- linear history an experimental exhibition display will be developed that transcends space, cyber-space, time, medium and the artist telematically.

This time-shifiting singularity oft wo identical names and the passion for an artistic work extends the notion oft he relationship between words and images in the digitized world, authorship, coded connectives, digital falsification and the residues oft he other to raise questions about concepts of individuality, origins, immateriality in correspondence with the fast – forward aesthetics oft he contemporary visual culture.
The painter and illustrator Franz Landspersky studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. After that he worked and lived in Ceske Budejovice until his suicide 1945. All other surviving relatives were evicted to Germany after the Benes-Decrees. Despite despoliations which came along an d the loss of his early original work, some pieces fort he city of Budweis can be found in networked digital archives and in an archive in Trier,

Due to their digitation his maps of Bohemian trails and classical depictions of the town Ceske Budejovice circulate freely in the internet and correspond therefore directly via search engines with the younger Franz Landspersyk, who currenly resides in Redhook, New York and works also as a painter, drawer and musisiona, Franz Landspersky (1967 -), who has lived in the United States for more than 25 years.

He acquired his artistic skillsthrough K.H. Hödicke at the UdK Berliin. Franz Landspersky´s extremly expressive ,substantial apporach to work stands in stark contrast to the artistic legacies oft he Czech ancestor, which are strongly characterized by observation, application andprecise reproduction.
